A real treat was the wedding I get to shoot in Steyr. Not only was it beautiful weather, amazing location, a fantastic second shooter, but a truly great group of people who made this day so emotional and beautiful.
The bride and groom Lej and Seb stumbled upon my Instagram page and booked me for the wedding. Already starting in the pre-communications with the couple, I had a great feeling about those two – it got proven when I stepped into the bride’s room in the morning of the wedding.
The location was in Steyr (Upper Austria), where the bride grew up. Getting ready started in the bride’s uncle’s hotel. The girl’s (6 bridesmaids in total and the bride of course) had a great room and we had lot’s of time getting some great shots in before the actual wedding started. I was asking if anyone wanted to be a second shooter on the wedding and the more than talented Jolly Schwarz said she would love to step in. Having a second shooter at a wedding is always great as you get to see the wedding from a completely different point of view. I first met Jolly about 6 years ago when she was still in the design school and then already delivered great work. Some couple of hundred thousand pictures later, she is an even greater and more engaging photographer.
Birde and groom met when they did a traineeship only 1,5 years ago and as soon as you see them, you know that they truely belong together. The civil wedding took place in Castle Lamberg where also the dinner and party was hosted. The whole day was filled with loving hugs, good talks and amazing speeches that almost made me tear up, even if I didn’t know anyone from the family.
I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.
